A fourth-down pass from Ben Roethlisberger intended for Hines Ward fell incomplete. The Bengals took over on downs and were able to run out the clock.

Bengals rookie RB Bernard Scott scored the lone touchdown in this contest, a 96-yard kickoff return in the first quarter. Scott also filled in for an injured Cedric Benson in the second half, rushing for 33 yards on 13 carries and catching one pass for 21 yards.
