Quick Take: Buccaneers (3-1) at Colts (4-0)

Last meeting
In 2003, Peyton Manning passed for 386 yards and two touchdowns as the Colts beat the Bucs, 38-35, in overtime, becoming the first team to win after trailing by 21 points with less than four minutes remaining in the game.

Streaks
The Buccaneers have won two of the last three, but haven't beaten the Colts since 1997.

Last week
Tampa Bay had a very costly win at Carolina. The Bucs prevailed, 20-7, but lost running back Cadillac Williams and tackle Luke Petitgout for the season. ... The Colts used the Broncos as a mere speed bump, cruising to a 38-20 victory. Manning had three TD passes, including two to Dallas Clark -- the tight end's second consecutive multi-touchdown game.

At stake
The Buccaneers are one of the top teams in the NFC, but a win over the Colts would validate that claim. Especially when you consider the Cowboys have fattened up their record on cupcakes. ... The Colts have raced out to a 4-0 record and have looked impressive in one of the league's toughest divisions, yet the only team people seem to talk about is the Patriots. That probably is a motivating factor for the defending champs.

Key matchup
Buccaneers secondary vs. Colts receivers. Led by corners Brian Kelly and Rhonde Barber, Tampa Bay ranks seventh against the pass. But the Bucs will be tested against the Colts, especially at home. Receiver Reggie Wayne has at least one touchdown in seven of his last eight home games. Manning likes to lock in on a weak spot in the opposing secondary and take advantage, but those options will be limited against the Buccaneers, especially if Marvin Harrison (knee) is held back.

Did you know?
Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia has a 113.1 passer rating in two career starts against the Colts. ... The Colts are 14-5 in October under Tony Dungy.
