Quick take: Chiefs come back to beat Bolts

Norv Turner ignored LaDainian Tomlinson in the third quarter. Tomlinson topped 100 rushing yards in the first half, but Turner only went to him three times in the third quarter when the Chiefs were rallying from a 10-point deficit. Chiefs cornerback Tyron Brackenridge's 50-yard fumble return for a touchdown with just over seven minutes left in the fourth quarter sealed it. The Chargers had a chance for a touchdown with 3:41 left, but Kansas City held on fourth-and-goal.

Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez caught the 62nd touchdown of his career, tying Shannon Sharpe on the all-time list for most touchdown receptions by a tight end. Chiefs linebacker Donnie Edwards, who made his first appearance in San Diego after he was let go in the offseason after five years with the Chargers, had seven tackles.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers completed 6-of-8 passes to open the game, but completed just 15 of his next 34 passes to go along with a pair of interceptions.
