What we learned ...
Jay Cutler is ready for the season: The Broncos' starting quarterback was sensational in limited action, completing 16 of 20 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys' starting secondary. This comes on the heels of an 8-for-10 performance in the first week of the preseason.
Jack Williams can make a big play: As a depth defensive back, Williams needs to play well in the preseason to claim a roster spot. He certainly did so against the Cowboys, nabbing a key fourth-quarter interception to end a potential game-tying drive by Dallas in the closing minutes.
Felix Jones continues to be a dual threat: The rookie running back from Arkansas has caught the eyes of the coaching staff during training camp with his all-around ability and he demonstrated those skills vs. the Broncos. He carried the ball three times for 17 yards and also had one reception for 27 yards.
Adam Jones brings a new dimension to the return game: While with the Titans, Jones was one of the best punt returners in the league. The Cowboys hope he can have similar success in Dallas and he appears on his way after returning a punt 24 yards in the second quarter.
