In Brief
(Stephen Morton / Associated Press)
Last meeting:
Miami limited Buffalo to 163 total yards and defeated the Bills, 16-3, in Week 14 of last season.
Streaks:
The Bills have won four of the past six meetings, but trail the overall series, 52-37-1, including the playoffs.
Last week:
The Dolphins lost starting quarterback Chad Pennington for the season with a shoulder injury and lost the game to San Diego, 23-13. ... Terrell Owens was held without a catch as the Bills lost to the Saints, 27-7.
Keep your eye on ...
Chad Henne's first start at quarterback: The second-year quarterback out of Michigan threw a pick-six after replacing Pennington in San Diego and did not look especially comfortable moving the offense. He will have to demonstrate significant improvement if the Dolphins are to get their first win of the season.
Rookie QB Pat White's impact on the Wildcat: The Dolphins took White in the second round of last April's draft with the intention to use him as a dynamic offensive threat in the Wildcat formation. Miami popularized the old single-wing offense last year, but Ronnie Brown could only do so much in it since he lacks a deft throwing touch. White has yet to see the field much this year, but with Pennington out, his role may increase.
Terrell Owens' sideline demeanor: T.O. seemed very distraught over his bagel in the stat column last week and will no doubt be looking to get some catches early and often against Miami. What will happen if he once again gets phased out of the game plan?
