The Eagles lost to the Bears 19-16 after allowing Chicago to drive 97 yards for the winning touchdown in the final two minutes. The Vikings were shut out in the second half of their 24-14 loss to the Cowboys. Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson connected on only 6 of 19 passes for 72 yards, but the Minnesota defense caused two fumbles, one that was run back for a touchdown by Cedric Griffin.

At stake
The Eagles are in the basement of a strong NFC East and need a victory before welcoming the division-leading Cowboys to town for a Sunday night showdown. The Vikings find themselves in last place in the NFC North, but not completely out of the hunt. A loss here, and that might change.

Key matchup
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson vs. Eagles running back Brian Westbrook. The NFL's top two in yards from scrimmage will have their work cut out for them. Peterson, the league's leading rusher, will need to make the Eagles' leading tackler, linebacker Takeo Spikes, miss; and Westbrook, who averages 5.5 yards per carry, will need to break free of a defense that has not allowed a 100-yard rusher and has only given up one rushing touchdown in 2007.
