What we learned ...
Buccaneers QB Jeff Garcia rusty: Garcia didn't look very comfortable in his first preseason game. While he did go 11-of-18 for 79 yards, many of the completions were on short passes. He did throw a touchdown to receiver Michael Clayton, but also was intercepted twice.
Wide receiver steps up for Tampa Bay: While Clayton caught the touchdown, it was third-year receiver Maurice Stovall who was the Bucs' best weapon. Stovall had 4 catches for 38 yards, and made great grabs and gained many of his yards after the catch.
Reggie Nelson's pick party: The Jaguars' second-year safety looked like a star in intercepting Jeff Garcia twice, including a great leaping pick in the endzone to prevent a Tampa Bay touchdown. Nelson also added 2 tackles in the game.
Fred Taylor keeps going and going: The Jags' longtime running back struggled in his first preseason action last week against the Dolphins, but bounced back against the Bucs. Taylor gained 26 yards on 7 carries, and showed a good burst and great strength, pushing defenders off of him.
