Quick Take: Lions (2-0) vs. Eagles (0-2)

Last meeting
In the first month of the 2004 season, Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb threw for 356 yards and two touchdowns as Philadephia went into Detroit and clobbered the Lions, 30-13.

Streaks
The Eagles have won three consecutive matchups to tie the overall series at 12-12-2.

Last week
The Lions improved to 2-0 with a thrilling 20-17 overtime victory against the Vikings. Jason Hansen made good on a chance to redeem himself after missing a 48-yard field goal at the end of regulation, as he hit from 37 yards out to end the contest in OT. Playing on Monday night at home, McNabb and the Eagles struggled for the second consecutive week through the air and fell to 0-2 with a loss against the rival Redskins.

At stake
Detroit can improve to 3-0 for the first time since 1980 and move closer to making starting quarterback Jon Kitna's preseason prediction of a 10-win season come true. After wins against the rebuilding Raiders and Vikings, a victory at Philadelphia would go a long way toward showing the Lions are for real. The Eagles need a triumphant outcome to avoid an 0-3 start and to keep from falling even farther back in the NFC East.

Key matchup
Lions offensive coordinator Mike Martz is known for his daring game plans and explosive passing attack. Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Johnson is known for his aggressive schemes and blitz-happy play-calling. Something will have to give Sunday.

Injuries
DETROIT: RB Kevin Jones (Foot), RB T.J. Duckett (ankle). PHILADELPHIA: CB Lito Sheppard (Knee), S Brian Dawkins (neck), T William Thomas (back), S Sean Considine (Knee)
