New Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen will have the power to select his own assistant coaches, general manager Reggie McKenzie told the San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday.
Offensive coordinator Al Saunders is the only holdover from the previous regime still with the team.
News of Allen's hiring broke earlier this week, less than a month after McKenzie joined the team.
When former coach Hue Jackson was fired, it was rumored that he had been trying to accumulate power, though Jackson denied that was the case.
Change has been swift since Al Davis, the Raiders' owner for several decades, died in October. Davis' son Mark has taken control of the team.
