Raiders owner Mark Davis addresses relocation protest

Raiders owner Mark Davis was not spared from the miniature Oakland protest on Tuesday in San Francisco just outside the Spring League Meeting.

But his only true answer was that he had no answer when confronted by a group of fans who do not want to see their team move to Los Angeles.

"I'm trying all I can do to keep this team in Oakland, OK? I don't know what to do, I really don't know," Davis told the group, via The Associated Press. "We're trying. I'm not trying to divide any fan base. Every time I talk to anybody, I'm trying to stay in Oakland. That's my No. 1 choice, but we can't do this forever. I really appreciate you all, I really do."

He added that he has "a whole staff that wants to stay in Oakland."

Davis said on Tuesday that he recently had a three-hour dinner with the city council president in Oakland and is interested in building a new stadium close to the one he currently shares with the Athletics.

However...

So it goes for Raiders fans at the moment. At least on Tuesday they got Davis to autograph some of their "Stay in Oakland" posters.
