If it wasn't for bad luck, the St. Louis Rams would have no luck at all.
The team learned Monday that its No. 1 receiver Brian Quick will miss the rest of the season with a torn rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, according to two sources informed of the injury. Left tackle Jake Long is also out for the season after tearing his ACL on Sunday.
Taken with the No. 33 overall pick in the 2012 draft, Quick's development had been a pleasant surprise this season. He was on pace for nearly 1,000 yards before getting hurt Sunday, with five plays over 20 yards. He topped 60 yards in his first four games. Quick set a career high with 375 yards despite not even playing half a season.
With Quick out, the Rams will ask Kenny Britt to step up at wide receiver. They also need to figure out a way to include Tavon Austin, who amazingly only has 123 yards through seven weeks.
