In search of a new long-term contract, Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Randy Starks will not attend the Dolphins' voluntary offseason conditioning program, a source who has spoken with the player said Tuesday.
The voluntary workouts began Monday.

Starks, however, will attend the team's mandatory minicamp in June. The Dolphins used their franchise tag on Starks in early March, and the defensive lineman signed the tender a couple of weeks later.
The Dolphins currently are set to pay Starks $8.45 million for the season.
Starks started all 16 games for the Dolphins last season, and he recorded 4.5 sacks, 27 tackles and an interception.
