Lorenzo Taliaferro's season is a wrap.
The Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday placed the second-year running back on injured reserve with the nagging foot injury he's battled all season.
Inactive against the Browns on Sunday, Taliaferro never achieved liftoff in 2015, running for just 47 yards at 3.6 yards per carry after flashes of strong play as a rookie.
The move ensures that rookie Buck Allen will see snaps behind starter Justin Forsett. Allen played well against the Browns on Sunday, gashing Cleveland for 58 yards off eight totes. The Ravens also claimed Raheem Mostert off waivers from the Dolphins to pad the position.
After a slow start on the ground, Baltimore has run for 191 and 181 yards over the past two games, with Forsett finally heating up on the heels of his sensational campaign in 2014.
The Ravens, though, are a mess at 1-4, sitting four games out of first in the AFC North and already receiving the dreaded "Fork" on the latest Around The NFL Podcast.
