OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) - The Baltimore Ravens have released cornerback Domonique Foxworth.
Foxworth played in 18 games over three seasons with the Ravens. He missed the 2010 season after tearing a ligament in his right knee on the first day of training camp and appeared in two games in 2011 because of knee problems.
He was entering the final year of a four-year, $27.2 million contract.
The 29-year-old Foxworth spent time with Denver and Atlanta before coming to the Ravens.
Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said the move Monday "does not preclude us from bringing back Domonique at a later date."
