CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason became the 13th player in NFL history with 900 career receptions.
Mason's milestone came on a 10-yard pass from Joe Flacco midway through the third quarter Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. It was the 36-year-old receiver's third catch of the day.
Earlier in the game, T.J. Houshmandzadeh hauled in a 56-yard touchdown pass from Flacco for his 600th catch. That made the Ravens the third team in NFL history to have three receivers with 600 or more career receptions. Anquan Boldin entered the day with 631.
The 2000 Washington Redskins (with Larry Centers, Irving Fryar and Andre Reed) and the 2005 St. Louis Rams (with Isaac Bruce, Marshall Faulk and Torry Holt) were the other teams to accomplish that feat.
