Zay Flowers has been the gift that keeps on giving for Lamar Jackson this season.
Fittingly, Flowers will be available for Jackson on Christmas.
The Baltimore Ravens’ No. 1 wide receiver is active to play in his team’s Week 17 tilt against the Houston Texans on Wednesday.
Flowers was questionable to play due to a shoulder injury that kept him from practicing Sunday and Monday. He returned to practice on Tuesday in a limited capacity, giving reason for optimism that’s now been realized.
Flowers is having a stellar season, leading the Ravens with 109 targets, 71 receptions and 1,016 yards. He’s been targeted 46 more times than any other Baltimore pass catcher and caught 32 more passes than any other receiver. Flowers also has four touchdown catches.
He’s developed quickly into Jackson’s top target and his presence will be crucial as the Ravens aim to keep alive hopes of winning the AFC North when they take on the AFC South champions.
Flowers and the Ravens will kick off against the Texans at 4:30 p.m. ET Wednesday on Netflix.
