Ray Rice was back on the field with his teammates Sunday. It just wasn't the type of field on which Baltimore Ravens fans would like to see him.
Rice participated in Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb's annual charity softball game in Aberdeen, Md., reuniting the Pro Bowl running back with teammates who have gone on at organized team activities without him.

"I miss it," Rice said, according to the Carroll County Times. "That's one thing you miss is the camaraderie with the guys. As far as playing football, I know I'm always going to be up to speed."
Rice is sitting out OTAs as he looks for a long-term contract extension from the Ravens. Player and team remain far apart on a new contract.
Under NFL rules, the Ravens have until July 16 to negotiate a new deal for Rice. If a deal isn't struck, he'll play under the $7.742 million franchise tag.
"At the end of the day, I wouldn't say it's a killing feeling," Rice said. "You got to understand what's going on. Once you understand what's going on, you kind of separate yourself from it."
Rice might miss his teammates, but sometimes you have to put "The Corporation" first.
