The Washington Redskins added aid in the secondary.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports corner Greg Toler agreed to a one-year deal with the Redskins. The team later confirmed the signing.
A physical corner, Toler struggled the past three seasons opposite Vontae Davis in Indianapolis, in part thanks to injury. The cover man missed six contests last season due to neck and knee injuries, after missing seven games in 2013. He received lukewarm interest on the open market.
Toler will reunite with former Colts defensive coordinator Greg Manusky, who signed on as linebackers coach in Washington.
Corner depth was one area we noted the Redskins would look to add in our Roster Rest on the NFC East. With Chris Culliver coming off injury, Washington adds Toler to its depth chart behind top corner Bashaud Breeland. The Redskins also re-signed veteran Will Blackmon this offseason.
