ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins have signed sixth-round draft pick Kareem Moore and released cornerback John Eubanks.
Moore was a standout safety at Nicholls State. He had arthroscopic knee surgery a few days after he was drafted in April and was not able to take part in any offseason practices. He also is expected to miss part of training camp, which begins July 20.
In 21 games at Nicholls State, Moore started 17 and recorded 141 tackles (81 solo), six pass deflections and five interceptions for 166 return yards and two touchdowns. His 149 yards gained on interception returns in 2007 broke the school single-season record held since 1981.
Eubanks played in six regular-season games, primarily on special teams, with the Redskins last year.
