One of our favorite annual gags: Reggie Wayne's creative arrivals for training camp. This year, Wayne's choice of an Indy Car driven by racer Ed Carpenter came with a message. Wayne's wheels are back.
"I feel fast," Wayne told reporters Wednesday.
The 35-year-old announced that he has been medically cleared for camp, according to multiple reporters on the scene. We haven't seen many receivers his age bounce back strong from a torn ACL, so Wayne's ability to still be a quality starter is a big question mark for the Colts this year. It was a day of good injury news in Indianapolis, as running back Vick Ballard also announced he was cleared coming off ACL surgery.
Wayne always has something up his sleeve when he arrives for camp. Last year, he came in a helicopter. He's also previously shown up in a dump truck and a caravan of Humvees with military members.
Colts fans can only hope that this isn't the last year of Wayne's funny annual tradition.
