Report: Auburn's Greg Robinson to meet with Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta needs an offensive tackle and a pass rusher, and Falcons officials are traveling on Thursday to meet with the best offensive tackle in the draft.

FOXSports1's Alex Marvez reported on Twitter that the Falcons are going to Auburn to have a private meeting with Greg Robinson.

A likely concern for the Falcons is whether he will be there when they make their selection at No. 6.

Robinson (6-foot-5, 332 pounds) is considered the best tackle in a good draft class at the position, ranking ahead of Texas A&M's Jake Matthews and Michigan's Taylor Lewan. But three teams that draft earlier than Atlanta -- St. Louis at No. 2, Jacksonville at No. 3 and Oakland at No. 5 -- also presumably would have interest in Robinson, not to mention teams that draft behind the Falcons. If Robinson is the guy the Falcons are zeroed in on, will they have to move up to make sure they get him?

Atlanta presumably also would be interested in Matthews and perhaps Lewan, as well as a pass rusher such as Buffalo outside linebacker Khalil Mack. The Falcons likely could remain at six and get Matthews or Lewan (and perhaps even Robinson), but Mack could be gone by then. Lewan worked out for the Falcons on April 1; the Falconsmet with Matthews during the same week.

Atlanta has former first-round pick Sam Baker at left tackle, but it wouldn't be a surprise if Baker was moved to the right side if the Falcons were to take a tackle in the first round.

Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff is on the record as saying he likes this group of offensive tackles, and six of the mock drafts on NFL.com have the Falcons grabbing a tackle with the No. 6 pick. The other has the Falcons taking a pass rusher (in this instance, UCLA outside linebacker Anthony Barr).
