McBean has been notified by the Denver Broncos that he will be released Monday, according to The Denver Post.
McBean was a consistent presence on Denver's defense, leading all defensive tackles in playing 58 percent of the unit's snaps last season. He became expendable when Denver brought back veteran Justin Bannan for a second stint with the team.
McBean had received an restricted free agent tender from the Broncos, but the team rescinded it before he signed. He becomes an unrestricted free agent.
