Michael Crabtree is the highest-ranked player remaining on Around The NFL's list of the Top 101 free agents.
The erstwhile San Francisco 49ers wide receiver has made just one visit, to the Miami Dolphins a week ago.
So why is Crabtree still unsigned?
He is willing to wait as long as it takes to find the right fit, particularly with a team that features an offense with a heavy emphasis on the passing game, reports Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area.
If Crabtree's 2014 game film was more impressive, he would have found that appealing situation by now. Although he has denied playing through a foot ailment last season, 49ers coaches believed lower-leg injuries slowed him down, per NFL Media's Albert Breer.
Crabtree was drop-prone and unable to separate from coverage in 2014. He has reached 90 yards just twice in 24 games games since tearing his Achilles' tendon in 2013.
There is also a perception around the league that Crabtree has a bad attitude, Breer added.
He now finds himself without a football home, similar to fellow 27-year-old wide receiver Hakeem Nicks.
At a time when former Cowboys speedster Felix Jones struggled to break the 4.8 mark at the Veteran Combine's 40-yard dash, Crabtree and Nicks are further reminders that future stars are often waylaid by physical attrition before they reach their full potential.
