Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf's private plane was reportedly spotted at a Los Angeles airport on Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
Also on Thursday, the spokesman for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa told the newspaper that the mayor met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell this week.
"Yes, the commissioner and the Mayor did meet this week and they had a private conversation on a number of topics," Villaraigosa's spokesman, Peter Sanders, told the newspaper.
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora that Goodell's meeting with the Mayor was unrelated to the Vikings.
Goodell and Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney were scheduled to meet with legislative leaders and Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton on the state's $975 stadium plan, which would replace the Metrodome but suffered a potentially fatal defeat in committee this week.
The group will meet in Dayton's office.
Dayton spoke by phone with Wilf on Thursday, a spokesman for the governor said. Wilf was not expected to attend Friday's meeting with the NFL leaders.
