The Miami Dolphins traded cornerback Vontae Davis to the Indianapolis Colts in August for a second-round draft pick and a conditional sixth-round selection. The condition was that Davis play 65 percent of the Colts' regular-season snaps, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Dolphins won't get that second pick since Davis was injured with a sprained knee and didn't reach the 65 percent mark.
Davis missed six games, but he came on strong down the stretch with a combined three interceptions in the final two weeks. He was named AFC defensive player of the week for Week 17 and finished the season with 51 tackles.
