Stars and Stripes reported that the military is testing sensor technology for helmets with the help of the NFL.
The report said the sensors, which are about the size of a watch, are placed inside the soldiers' helmets, on their bodies and inside vehicles. The sensors measure overpressure and acceleration from blasts, including the severity of the blast.
In other military news, the Nisqually Valley News in Yelm, Wash., reported on former NFL players who talked to soldiers about making the transition to "civilian life."
