Perhaps Jason Babin is a little happier now.
The NFL fined San Francisco 49ers right tackle Anthony Davis $25,000 for twice leg-whipping Babin, the Philadelphia Eagles' defensive end, during last Sunday's game, according to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.
Davis was called for two tripping penalties in the game. The second came just two plays after Babin was called for roughing the passer.
Babin revealed Thursday that he had been fined $15,000 by the NFL for that late hit on 49ers quarterback Alex Smith, prompting him to lash out at the league via Twitter.
"Attn:Guy at the NFL that decides on who and how much players get fined Stop being a puppet, if you want to protect QB's, get better linemen," Babin wrote.
Babin, who matched up with Davis for most of the game, had three sacks in the Eagles' 24-23 loss.
