The Raiders are considering the possibility of signing Marshawn Lynch, but they're not stopping there when it comes to exploring options at running back.
Oakland hosted Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon on Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan.
Mixon is considered one of the 2017 NFL Draft's most talented RBs. However, character concerns have cast doubt on his stock.
The former Sooner was barred from this year's NFL Scouting Combine under a conduct policy, and is viewed as undraftable by some clubs, per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Mixon punched a female OU student in 2014 and was charged with acts resulting in gross injury. The case was settled with a plea agreement, and Mixon, who was suspended for the 2014 season, served one year of probation, counseling, and 100 hours of community service.
He was rated the No. 5 RB available in NFL Network draft expert Mike Mayock's initial positional rankings, but fell out of the RB rankings and was moved to a special exceptions category in Mayock's latest rankings, which were released on Tuesday.
Mixon reportedly visited the Broncos last week, and he has also met with the Bengals.
