Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh suggested last month that teams were bound to bid "very high" on defensive end Arthur Jones when free agency launches Tuesday.
"If you put the tape on, they're going to like him a lot," said Harbaugh, who acknowledged that the Ravens might not be able to match what teams plan to offer the talented young lineman.
One of those clubs might be the Tennessee Titans. Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun reported Saturday that Jones is "expected to be in heavy demand" and looms as a "strong fit" for Ray Horton's defense in Rocky Top.
Horton plans to run a hybrid 3-4 scheme that would accommodate Jones well after four seasons in Baltimore that saw him go from a bit player to a productive starter. If not the Titans, the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts make sense as potential targets.
Per Wilson, Jones has already drawn interest from the Titans, Redskins, Giants, Vikings and other NFL teams.
On the latest "Around The League Podcast," Chris Wesseling wagered a "high-octane, elaborate sandwich" on the idea that Jones would wind up with the Colts -- a move that would reunite him with former Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano.
That makes plenty of sense for a player we expect to be one of the hottest names on the open market.
