Titans running back Chris Johnson didn't attend the team's first offseason practice Tuesday, The Tennessean reported, citing sources familiar with the situation.
Johnson, who signed a five-year, $12 million contract in 2008, has expressed his desire for a new deal. He told The Tennessean in January that he'd like to be the league's highest-paid offensive player after rushing for 2,006 yards and being named NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
Last season, when he became just the sixth rusher in NFL history to eclipse 2,000 yards, Johnson made $385,000 in base salary. He's scheduled to receive $560,000 next season.
