The Seattle Seahawks will have cornerback Richard Sherman on the field for at least one more week.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport confirmed Tuesday that Sherman's appeal for his four-game suspension is scheduled for Dec. 14, according to a source close to the player.
That allows the cornerback to be on the field when the Seahawks face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14.
Sherman and Seahawks teammate Brandon Browner each tested positive for violating the NFL's drug policy and were suspended four games. According to a report last week by USA Today, Sherman said he accidentally drank from a bottle into which a teammate poured a crushed Adderall pill. Browner implied a sample switch produced his positive test, according to the report.
No appeal date has been set for Browner, which means both starting cornerbacks will likely play against the Cardinals. If the suspensions are eventually upheld, it would deal a serious blow to Seattle's postseason hopes.
