We have bad news for New England Patriots fans and Rob Gronkowskifantasy football owners alike. Gronk was the only Patriot not seen at practice Thursday, according to the Boston Herald.
One report suggested the tight end would try to return to practice this week, and it's possible that still will happen. New England could wait for the media to leave to let him work or he could get practice time later in the week, but the reality is we probably won't see the Gronk Spike for a few more weeks.
NFL.com's Albert Breer reported earlier this week that the plan all along has been to get Gronkowski some playing time before the playoffs, but that he was a long shot for this week. His absence from practice Thursday makes those odds even longer.
