The Jaguars have found their replacement for Julius Thomas.
Jacksonville announced Wednesday they signed tight end Mychal Rivera, who spent all four years of his career with the Oakland Raiders. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported the contract calls for a maximum value of $6.75 million via reachable player and team incentives, per sources informed of the situation.
Rivera showed promise in Oakland but found himself underutilized in 2016. He has 146 catches for 1,413 yards and 10 touchdowns in 61 career games. Rivera's best season came in 2014 when he started 10 games and had 58 catches for 534 yards and four touchdowns.
