New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas had his Saturday cut short when a helmet-to-helmet collision knocked him out of an epic NFC Divisional Playoff Game.
Thomas appeared to be knocked out by a head-first hit from San Francisco 49ers safety Donte Whitner on the Saints' first drive of the game, and he never returned. The hit caused Thomas to go limp, and he lost the ball near the goal line, the first of five turnovers by New Orleans, which lost 36-32.
Thomas informed fans on his Facebook page Sunday morning that his head injury isn't an issue.
"Just to let everyone know ... I'm doing great," Thomas wrote. "It was a nasty hit but this is the sport we play, can't do anything about it but move forward from here."
