Which college games will NFL clubs send scouts to Saturday? College Football 24/7 brings you a glimpse at the teams that were credentialed to attend some of the biggest games in college football. NFL Media analyst and former NFL scout Bucky Brooks adds commentary for each game. So which positions might your NFL club be scouting? NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt provides his primary draft needs for each team.
FSU at Miami
Three top players: FSU (QB Jameis Winston, DL Mario Edwards, CB Ronald Darby); Miami (RB Duke Johnson, LB Denzel Perryman, TE Clive Walford).
Brooks' take: "It's a big game with a lot of talent. You want to see if Jameis Winston can eliminate his turnover woes, in another big game against a team with NFL-caliber athletes. For Miami, it's a huge game for Duke Johnson. He's been bubbling under the surface. If he puts on a big-time show as a runner and receiver, I think it kind of changes the perception of what he could be at the next level."
Auburn at Georgia
Clubs attending: Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Titans.
Three top players: Auburn (QB Nick Marshall, RB Cameron Artis-Payne, WR Sammie Coates); Georgia (RB Todd Gurley, LB Leonard Floyd, LB Ramik Wilson).
Brooks' take: "A lot of intrigue on Todd Gurley and what he looks like after being off a handful of weeks. He's got a chance to restate his case as the No. 1 back in the country."
Nebraska at Wisconsin
Clubs attending: Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles.
Three top players: Nebraska (DE Randy Gregory, RB Ameer Abdullah, WR Kenny Bell); Wisconsin (RB Melvin Gordon, OL Rob Haverstein, OL Tyler Marz).
Brooks' take: "It's a battle of the running backs, looking at Melvin Gordon and how he plays against a pretty solid defense. Ameer Abdullah, how does he look coming off injury? Scouts always wonder how someone plays when they are less than 100 percent. For Nebraska DE Randy Gregory, how does he play against the run? Wisconsin will test him with a pro-style, zone-blocking system. How will he fare when they run right at him?"
Washington at Arizona
Three top players: Washington (LB/RB Shaq Thompson, LB Hau'oli Kikaha, DL Danny Shelton); Arizona (WR Cayleb Jones, WR Austin Hill, LB Scooby Wright).
Brooks' take: "Which side of the ball is Shaq Thompson best suited to play? You want to see if he looks more natural at one thing or another -- is he a nickel linebacker? What can you do with him? With Huskies pass rusher Hau'oli Kikaha, is he a tweener, or is he more of an every-down player?"
Arizona State at Oregon State
Clubs attending: San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings.
Three top players: Arizona State (WR Jaelen Strong, QB Taylor Kelly, RB D.J. Foster); Oregon State (QB Sean Mannion, CB Steven Nelson, OL Isaac Seumalo).
Brooks' take: "Jaelen Strong is probably the highest-rated prospect on either team. Teams want to see him continue to do the things it takes to be a No. 1 receiver. They will be looking at both the quarterbacks, Taylor Kelly and Sean Mannion. Mannion has been disappointing for much of the year, particularly in big games. Does he show a glimpse of turning it around?"
Mississippi State at Alabama
Clubs attending: Houston Texans, Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins.
Three top players: Mississippi State (LB Benardrick McKinney, QB Dak Prescott, DL Preston Smith); Alabama (WR Amari Cooper, DB Landon Collins, DL Jarran Reed).
