RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks' surprising win over Baltimore came with a significant injury cost.
Rookie right guard John Moffitt will be lost for the season after tearing the MCL and PCL ligaments in his right knee, coach Pete Carroll said on Monday, a day after the Seahawks beat the Ravens 22-17. Moffitt, was hurt in the first quarter when he got caught in a pile and never returned.
The Seahawks' third-round draft pick out of the University of Wisconsin had started all nine games this season.
The Seahawks also saw wide receivers Sidney Rice and Doug Baldwin, and strong safety Kam Chancellor leave Sunday's game with concussions. All three were feeling better on Monday, Carroll said, but their availability for Sunday's game at St. Louis won't be known until later in the week.
