RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson and rookie cornerback Byron Maxwell both have second-degree ankle sprains and aren't expected to play this week at Pittsburgh.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Monday that he wasn't sure how long the duo would be out, and he needed to see how each recovered. Robinson was hurt when his ankle was rolled on during a first-quarter run Sunday at San Francisco, and Maxwell was hurt during a kick return in the second half.
Carroll didn't have any updates on left guard Robert Gallery or wide receiver Sidney Rice, both of whom were inactive in the season opener. Carroll said the two would be evaluated to see if they could practice Wednesday.
Linebacker David Hawthorne, also inactive Sunday, is expected to practice and play this week.
