The Seattle Seahawks are proving they don't need to play their best to win away from home.
The Seahawks stormed back from a 17-point deficit midway through the third quarter to stun the Houston Texans23-20 in overtime. After two stirring comeback wins to start the season, the Texans gagged this one.
"I'm pissed off," J.J. Watt said after the game. "This sucks. Nobody likes to lose, especially like this in your own building. This isn't fun, man!"
The Texans played 40 perfect minutes, and then 32 awful minutes. That's the story of their season at 2-2.
Here's what else we learned:
- Russell Wilson could barely get a pass off most of the game. Seattle's passing game went from conservative to invisible to ineffective until an epic 98-yard drive in the fourth quarter turned the game around. Wilson pulled off the comeback with his legs. With nothing happening through the air, Wilson ran for 77 yards down the stretch, including an enormous fourth-down scramble near the goal line.
Seattle's pass-protection problems are something to watch in the coming weeks.
- OK, perhaps Ben Tate's fumble late in the third quarter turned this game around. The Texans were putting together the best performance by any team I've seen all season before that play. Houston was up three scores at the time. Arian Foster got all the work after that play.

- Richard Sherman continues to put together an incredible season. His pick six with under three minutes to go sent the game to overtime. Sherman gave up a few plays to Andre Johnson during the contest, but he battled hard all game.
- Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison said quarterback Matt Schaub was making too many "bad decisions" before this game. His throw that Sherman picked off was one of the worst decisions by any quarterback all season. Schaub played a strong game overall, but he isn't playing like a veteran. This is an imbalanced Texans team.
- Look for a lot of discussion about Texans cornerback Kareem Jackson's unnecessary-roughness penalty in overtime. The 15-yard infraction for slamming receiver Doug Baldwin to the turf set up Seattle's game-winning field goal.
