The trade that will send quarterback Carson Palmer from the Oakland Raiders to the Arizona Cardinals has not been completed.
A Monday night report from CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora casts some doubt on the situation.
In a subsequent tweet, La Canfora wrote that the Raiders and Cardinals are working on a restructured salary for Palmer, adding that both sides are "pushing towards a deal."
Palmer still is on the books for $13 million with the Raiders this season. If he's insistent on being paid anywhere near that figure, that could explain the "snag."
Palmer would represent a substantial upgrade at the quarterback position on the Cardinals, but it's been some time since he's been a player worth his current salary.
UPDATE: Palmer was traded to the Cardinals on Tuesday.
