Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's injured ankle was bad enough to keep him out of the starting lineup against the St. Louis Rams, but it wasn't enough to sideline him entirely Saturday.
The Steelers announced that Roethlisberger is active against the Rams, though quarterback Charlie Batch remains in line to start. It's unclear who would play between Roethlisberger and Dennis Dixon should Batch go down during the game.
Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) is inactive after aggravating an injury that has hampered him throughout the second half of the season.
As expected, Rams quarterback Sam Bradford (ankle) also is inactive for Saturday's game, along with defensive back Justin King (shoulder). Defensive end Chris Long (ankle) is set to play.
