Don't just go to the Super Bowl … be a part of the Super Bowl.
One lucky kid (age 6-15) will hand the game ball to an official before the opening kickoff of Super Bowl on the field in front of more than 70,000 fans and a worldwide television audience. Super Bowl XLIII will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. on February 1, 2009, and will be broadcast on NBC.
Young fans may enter the NFL Super Kid Contest online at NFLRUSH.com, the NFL's official website for kids, through December 15, 2008. To be eligible, they must pledge to be active for 60 minutes a day as part of the 'NFL PLAY 60 Challenge,' and answer two questions about the importance of health and fitness.
The winner will be selected by a panel of NFL players committed to 'playing 60' every day, including Super Bowl XLII MVP Eli Manning (New York Giants) and Santana Moss (Washington Redskins). The grand prize includes a trip for three to Super Bowl XLIII, tickets to NFL Experience and NFL Kids Day, and a hotel room for seven days/six nights. The winner will be a part of Kids Day festivities at NFL Experience, joining local children who participated in the NFL PLAY 60 Challenge. During last year's inaugural NFL Super Kid contest, more than 50,000 children registered for the chance to be a part of the Super Bowl by pledging to 'play 60.'
The winner of the NFL Super Kid contest will also be featured on special boxes of Kellogg's Frosted Flakes® cereal as part of the Earn Your Stripes™ program, which encourages kids to eat right, work hard and take their game to the next level. The program helps kids believe in themselves to overcome challenges, accomplish their goals and be their very best on and off the field. To learn more, visit www.frostedflakes.com.
