Despite being just a sixth-round draft pick, former Georgia Bulldog Terrell Davis had one of the most successful NFL careers of any player the school has produced. So who better than Davis to name the top six active NFL players from UGA?
Here's what Davis delivered on Friday's broadcast of "NFL AM" on NFL Network:
6. Charles Johnson, DL, Carolina Panthers
5. Chris Clemons, DL, Seattle Seahawks
4. Matthew Stafford, QB, Detroit Lions
3. Champ Bailey, DB, Denver Broncos
2. Geno Atkins, DL, Cincinnati Bengals
1. A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
With 14 years in the league and 52 career interceptions, Bailey obviously has the most impressive career of the group. But keep in mind, Davis' criteria was the best Bulldogs today. Davis suggested Green may be the NFL's second-best receiver behind Calvin Johnson.
Colts defensive back Tim Jennings got an honorable mention from Davis, as well. And as long as honorable mentions are allowed, we'll throw in Reshad Jones of the Miami Dolphins.
