The release of Terrell Owens on Sunday by the Seattle Seahawksfelt like the end of the road for the NFL's second-leading all-time wide receiver.
It's hard to imagine another team giving T.O. a shot, but the New York Jets are one of the few that, in theory, have a huge receiver need. They could just be crazy enough to do it. OK, they aren't that crazy.
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily reports that the Jets have no interest in Owens. They need help with their red-zone offense, but a call to old friend Plaxico Burress is more likely than dialing up Owens. (Neither is likely at all.)
There also was a report in Miami that the Dolphins had no interest in Owens. We will spare you 30 other similar posts and just let you know if someone does throw the deposed receiver a lifeline.
