Terrelle Pryor doesn't remember all of Monday night's 37-21 loss to the Denver Broncos but, after watching the tape, the Oakland Raiders quarterback wants someone to pay up.
Pryor sustained a concussion in the fourth quarter on a monster hit from Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard. The hit came on a quarterback draw that left Pryor on the ground for a stretch before he continued to play. In a dazed state, he threw two more passes before retreating to the locker room.
Al's final project
Al Davis always believed in reclamation projects. Mark Kriegel says Terrelle Pryor now has a chance to revive the late Oakland Raiders owner's reputation. **More ...**
Pryor on Wednesday defended the Raiders' decision to leave him in the game, but he called Woodyard's hit an "illegal" shot with "helmet-to-helmet" contact.
"I think he should get fined, definitely," Pryor said, per ESPN.
The NFL Players Association is examining whether the Raiders followed the NFL's concussion protocol, but Pryor believes team doctors handled his concussion within the rules.
"Looked like I was functioning; I watched the tape," Pryor said. "I could definitely see why they didn't see it ... I was talking to them so I was fine because they were asking me (questions). Definitely a delayed reaction."
Back to the hit. Taking a look at the play, Pryor might have a point. We'll find out soon enough if the league agrees.
