Arian Foster is looking like he'll sit out Sunday when the Houston Texansvisit the Cleveland Browns.
The running back suffered a groin injury in Houston's Week 9 loss to Philadelphia. There was some thought Foster would be fine after the team's bye, but he was listed as questionable after being limited on practice Friday and missing the previous two days of work due to the injury.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that Foster is a long shot to play Sunday, per a source informed of his injury.
If indeed Foster isn't able to go, it's a big blow to quarterback Ryan Mallett in his first career NFL start.
Expect rookie running back Alfred Blue to carry the load in Foster's stead. Blue ran for 78 yards on 13 carries in his one start (against the New York Giants, Week 3) replacing Foster earlier this season. However, he's not nearly as explosive as the veteran and has been stymied for most of the season (3.4 yards per carry).
