Texans become first team to fully report for training camp ahead of 2024 NFL season

The Houston Texans are ready to roll into the 2024 season.

Veterans and rookies for the reigning AFC South champions report for training camp Wednesday, making them the first club to fully arrive for work.

The Texans get to work early due to their Pro Football Hall of Fame Game date with the Chicago Bears on Aug. 1.

Houston enters DeMeco Ryans’ second season at the helm with sky-high expectations after an impressive 2023 campaign saw the young Texans squad swipe the division title and win a postseason blowout over the Cleveland Browns.

With stud C.J. Stroud, Nico Collins, Tank Dell and newcomers Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon, Houston’s offense could be one of the most exciting in 2024. The Texans also revamped the defense, adding the likes of pass rusher Danielle Hunter and linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair.

The Texans should have one of the more intriguing training camp battles this offseason to see who will grab the CB2 gig opposite Derek Stingley Jr. Imports Jeff Okudah, C.J. Henderson and second-round rookie Kamari Lassiter each have a shot to snag the gig with a good camp.
