Wes Welker is reuniting with Bill O'Brien, but this time as a member of his staff.
The Texans announced that Welker was hired as an offensive/special teams assistant coach. He was a guest coach for the Ravens and Dolphins in their organized team activities before this past season.
The undrafted wideout retired in 2015 after a 12-year career, including spending six seasons in New England.
O'Brien was with Welker from 2007-11 with the Patriots, including as Welker's offensive coordinator in his final season in New England before leaving to become head coach at Penn State.
