With pre-draft visits winding down and just 10 days to go before the 2017 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans are getting a late look at two of the draft's top quarterbacks.
Texas Tech's Patrick Mahomes wraps up a visit with the club on Monday, while Clemson's Deshaun Watson arrives today, per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Mahomes' visit to the club was first reported by John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
The Texans hold the No. 25 pick of the draft, and have a need at the position. QB Brock Osweiler's one season with the Texans didn't work out -- he was traded to the Cleveland Browns last month -- leaving Tom Savage and Brandon Weeden as the only quarterbacks on the roster entering the draft.
NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah projects the Texans to select North Carolina QB Mitchell Trubisky with their top pick. Watson and Mahomes are two of the draft's most coveted quarterback prospects. NFL Network draft expert Mike Mayock ranks Watson, Trubisky and Mahomes, in order, as the draft's best three at the position.
