Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, the NFL's leading rusher in 2010, underwent minor arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Wednesday, the *Houston Chronicle* reported.
Foster, who rushed for 1,616 yards, sustained cartilage damage during the Pro Bowl on Jan. 30. Foster told the newspaper he thought the injury would heal with rest, but that was not the case. He estimated a recovery time of three weeks.
The newspaper also reported that special teams assistant John Butler, who was hired earlier this month, has left to become the special teams coach at the University of South Carolina. Butler previously was the special teams coach at the University of Minnesota before the Texans hired him to help coordinator Joe Marciano.
