On any given NFL weekend, many different players score touchdowns. Most of them are your standard fantasy football superstars, owned in every league. But others come out of nowhere to vulture touchdowns or beat a third-string cornerback repeatedly for a career-day. In fantasy, these are our That Helps No One champions. The players whose success leads to the imminent demise of countless fantasy teams. All season long, we'll be tracking and crowning a That Helps No One winner each week on NFL Fantasy LIVE. Below are the top candidates for Week 14.
Was that a bird? A plane? No, it's Eagles first-round pick Nelson Agholor, actually on a football field and making plays! Granted, it's hard to get upset at this play from a fantasy perspective, because most players are avoiding the Eagles offense at all costs. Oh well.
Bert Alert! Wilson has been a favorite of our fantasy crew for awhile, so while his touchdown didn't help Jeremy Maclin owners, it certainly helped us feel good this holiday season.
LeSean McCoy owners were salivating over the potential points he was going to rack up for them in his revenge game against the Eagles. Unfortunately for them it was his backup, Mike Gillislee, who was able to find paydirt.
A man named Fozzy scored a touchdown on Sunday. Carry on.
We should have known Humphries was primed for a breakout game like this: one catch, six yards, one touchdown. After all, he went to Clemson, which is like a wide receiver factory, pumping out Sammy Watkins, Martavis Bryant and DeAndre Hopkins the last few years. So what's in store for Humphries? Let's just say I plan on taking him in the second round in 2016 fantasy drafts. In other news, my sarcasm meter just broke, so if any of you needed Xmas ideas for me, there you go.
Blaine Gabbert completed 10 passes to wide receivers on Sunday. Two of them went to Simpson. One of them ended with him in the end zone. So there's that.
Darren McFadden gave owners a solid day with over 100 total yards again, but would have had a fantastic day if he'd been able to find the end zone. Instead, it was Turbin who plodded in for the score on the one drive where the Cowboys offense was actually able to look like an NFL squad.
